Opportunities can be easily saved to your Sourcing Management list, valued using Nexgate's sourcing tools and market Insights, and tracked throughout the acquisition process.
Find Opportunities is part of Nexgate Sourcing and helps dealerships identify vehicles available in the private market. This gives you broader visibility of available stock opportunities while keeping your sourcing workflow in one connected experience.

How it works
1. Open Find Opportunities
Navigate to Sourcing > Find Opportunities.
You'll see vehicle opportunities from supported marketplaces displayed directly within Nexgate.
2. Search and filter opportunities
Use the available search and filtering options to narrow down opportunities that match your sourcing criteria.
You can review opportunities from:
- carsales
- Facebook Marketplace
- Additional sources that may be added in the future
You can also create custom searches and alerts to monitor the market and receive notifications when vehicles matching your criteria become available.
Looking beyond Find Opportunities?
If you're searching for vehicles on websites that aren't currently available in Find Opportunities, you can use the Nexgate Browser Extension.
With the Browser Extension installed, you can:
- View market insights while browsing vehicles online
- Add vehicles directly to your Sourcing Management list
- Bring opportunities from additional websites into your Nexgate sourcing workflow
This helps you maintain coverage across a broader range of sources while managing all acquisition opportunities from one place.
3. Review opportunity details
Select an opportunity to review available vehicle information.
Depending on the listing source, you may be able to access:
- Vehicle details
- Market pricing information
- Vehicle performance insights
- Seller information
- Messaging and contact options
The level of information available may vary depending on the marketplace source.
4. Add the opportunity to your sourcing list
When you find a vehicle worth pursuing, add it to your Sourcing Management list.
Your sourcing list acts as a central workspace for managing vehicles you've found, valued, inspected or are considering acquiring.
You can organise and manage opportunities using features such as:
- Sorting
- Watchlists
- Hidden opportunities
- Price change notifications
5. Continue your sourcing workflow
Once an opportunity has been added, you can continue using Nexgate sourcing tools to assess and manage the vehicle as part of your acquisition process.
This may include valuation, inspection, market analysis and progressing the vehicle towards acquisition.
Stay informed with custom searches and alerts
Find Opportunities helps you monitor the market for the vehicles you want to acquire without having to repeatedly run manual searches.
Using the available search filters, you can create custom searches based on criteria such as:
- Make and model
- Vehicle age
- Price range
- Location
- Kilometres travelled
- Vehicle attributes and specifications
Once saved, you can set up alerts and notifications to be informed when new opportunities matching your criteria become available.
This allows your team to:

- Monitor hard-to-find vehicles automatically

Saved searches and alerts work across supported marketplaces, helping you maintain visibility of inventory opportunities from a single sourcing workflow.
Viewing Facebook Marketplace listings
Facebook Marketplace listings are surfaced directly within Find Opportunities.
Because Facebook Marketplace data differs from other marketplaces:
- Some vehicle information may be limited and data is refreshed less frequently than carsales
- Only stock images are displayed
- Seller information may be restricted
- You can’t contact directly from Find Opps. However can navigate to the original Facebook Marketplace listing to view additional details where available
- Note: If you have the Nexgate Browser extension you will be able to have a more comprehensive experience once you navigate to the original listing
Duplicate listings
The same vehicles may be listed on multiple marketplaces.
Duplicate matching capabilities continue to evolve, and duplicate listings may occasionally appear while improvements are being rolled out to make it easier for you to find when a vehicle is listed in multiple destinations.

Find Opportunities (carsales & Facebook Marketplace) is available on the Nexgate Signature plan.
User permissions
To access Find Opportunities, a user must have:
- Sourcing Management permission enabled
- Nexgate Insights permission enabled
